Fitz of Inch, a 17th century country house turned wedding venue in Stradbally, opened their doors to the public on Friday, September 13 showcasing all it has to offer.
We spoke to Managing Director, Michael Fitzpatrick about what it means to him to transform the property, which has been in his family for decades, to a thriving business catering for intimate weddings, family occasions, hen and stag parties and corporate events.
"The house itself dates back to 1702 and we started this venture back in 2016 and we extended into the barn in 2019," said Michael.
"It is lovely today to see so many locals, so many people that worked here over the years to come back and see the place in such a different form and to come back and celebrate in a different way.
"It is really exciting that we can bring this to the area and collaborate with so many local vendors from food vendors, to entertainment to activities and to local attractions as well."
Equipped with a hot tub, bbq area, cinema, bar and barn there was plenty for guests to take in at the showcase event while wedding band The Wilful kept the music flowing.
