Taoiseach Simon Harris has heaped praise on outgoing Laois Fine Gael TD and former Minister Charlie Flanagan, while bigging up his hoped for successor, Portlaoise farmer Cllr Willie Aird.
The Taoiseach spoke as he visited the sunsoaked Laois fields at the 2024 National Ploughing Championships on Tuesday, September 17, proclaiming "Willie's the man", while defending his party's attempts to bring more women into politics.
