Two years have flown by and it is time for a Laois Rose to be chosen again to represent the county in the Rose of Tralee in Kerry and on television this August.
The reigning Laois Rose is New Yorker Sinead Dowd, who did the county proud telling Daithí Ó Sé how she left the US and followed her heart alone as a teenager to come and live in her mother's home village of Cullohill.
Sinead, who is now off travelling the world, spoke to Laois women via the Leinster Express / Laois Live to invite girls to enter.
“I want to encourage some lovely Laois ladies to join our hunt for the next Laois Rose 2025. I know when I was considering applying for the Laois Rose, I was very nervous. But looking back on the last two years, I had the most amazing time of my life. MORE BELOW PICTURE.

“Being crowned the Laois Rose of Tralee was an unforgettable experience that transformed my life.
“I met so many friends, I've been to so many different places, I've developed so much confidence. If this is something you are considering, I definitely recommend it,” the Laois Rose said.
International Rose of Tralee Keely O’Grady is also encouraging Laois women to join her this year.
“Taking part in the Rose of Tralee International Festival has truly been a life-changing experience. The one thing I can say to any young woman interested is ‘go for it and apply!’
Entries are open and are flying in, according to the Laois Rose coordinator Lyn Moloney. MORE BELOW PICTURE.
