WATCH: Holy Family Senior School Portlaoise sang a Queen classic at their official opening

The Holy Family schools in Laois held their official opening on Friday June 8 in glorious sun, and the senior school's choir was in glorious form too.

The choir sang the Queen classic 'Don't Stop Me Now' to kick off the opening, which was performed by Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin Denis Nulty, with special guest Minister Charlie Flanagan.

They were conducted by teacher Deirdre Meagher, with some extra help by Principal Des Sutton.

The new Junior and Senior schools, part of Portlaoise Parish, have almost 1400 children between them, featuring 25 different nationalities, as Portlaoise continues to attract new residents from all parts of the world.
