WATCH: Storm Debi direction to schools, advice for employers from Ireland's emergency team

National Emergency Co-ordination Group responds as Met Eireann Status Red and Orange alerts in place

Storm Debi has caused the National Emergency Co-ordination Group to issue direction and advice to schools, employers and the public. Laois will under a Status Orange alert. Keith Leonard is chair of the Fire and Emergency Management section. He gave an outline of what people should do to stay safe.
