Storm Darragh blocked one of Portlaoise's busiest roads.
A big evergreen tree fell on the Dublin Road near the entrance to Martley's bus depot and Higgs Lane.
Storm response crews had made the route partially passable by 10 am.
It's not clear if the Storm Darragh felled tree also caused a power cut on the road overnight.
