CMAT took to the Main Stage in Laois on Saturday

Festival-goers in Laois have been praising CMAT’s performance on Saturday particularly her tribute to Dolly Parton.

Crowds were blown away when she opened her set with ‘Jolene’ in honour of the Queen of country who passed away on August 25. Dolly was laid to rest after a private funeral in Nashville on August 28.

Commenting on the performance one audience member said: “CMAT what an entrance. So much respect for one hell of a legend. Never will Dolly be forgotten.”

Another said: “Brilliant, was hoping someone would do one. Every time this crowd hears this song, they will remember this moment. She nailed it. Rest in peace Dolly.

“Brilliant RIP Dolly Parton a legend,” added another.
