With almost 60 photographs and featuring close to 200 local people, the Annanough GAA Calendar is bound to make a lovely stocking filler for the people of Vicarstown this Christmas.

The full-colour calendar, which was launched at the club’s Race Night last Friday night, is sponsored by Gaynor-Miller Auctioneers Portlaoise, and is a first publication of its kind for the club.

It features all of the club’s teams - from U-6 right up to intermediate - from 2014 as well as a number of teams from the club’s past. There is also a large number of photos from club events throughout the year - the Tea Party in June, the Family Fun Day in September and most of the club’s intermediate championship games.

“We’re very grateful to Gaynor-Miller for sponsoring this,” says Steven Miller, the club treasurer. “Annanough might be a small club but there is a lot going on and this calendar captures what was another busy year at all levels.”

Each month is accompanied by a number of images while the calendar is also complete with all the main local dates throughout the year as well as the dates for the local, national and international sporting events.

The Calendar costs €10 and is available from club officials Bobby Miller,. Martin Ryan, Steven Miller and Cyril Darcy as well as in Crean’s Bar Vicarstown, CoCo Hair Salon Stradbally and Fifty Seven Boutique Portarlington.
