Three winners in one talented Laois family

Six Laois students have been presented with top awards in this years 61st Texaco Childrens Art Competition.Luggacurren siblings Tom (14) Lucy (15) and Annie Rose Deegan (18), all pupils of Bagenalstown art teacher Iwona Nartowska, are pictured with their winning paintings alongside family (left to right): Dad Jim, Aunt Bernie, Grandmother Doreen, Colm Rowland and Mum Fionnuala.  Lucy won second prize in the 14-15 years age category of the competition while Tom and Annie Rose both won Special Merit Awards.Other Laois winners, all of whom also received Special Merit Awards at a ceremony held in Dublin recently, were Holly Lalor (7), a pupil at The Paint Pots Art Group, Ballyfin, Aoibh Foynes (15), from Clonaslee College and Lee Dixon (13), from Col�iste �osag�in, Portarlington.
