Reminiscing at Luggacurren ‘Gathering’

Luggacurren and surrounding areas are holding a ‘gathering’ for people to meet up and reminisce about times past.

Luggacurren and surrounding areas are holding a ‘gathering’ for people to meet up and reminisce about times past.

An invitation has been extended to all present or former residents of this area including Graiguecullen, Killeshin, Wolfhill, Ballyadams,Luggacurren, Crettyard, Stradbally, Heath, Ballinakill, Spink and Arles.

‘The Gathering’ will be held in the Parish Hall, Luggacurren, on Sunday, October 25, at 2:30pm and it will be an opportunity to meet up, reminisce, share stories and photographs with old neighbours and friends.

Refreshments will be served in the hall from 3:30 pm.

The organisers are also looking for copies of any old photographs of the area and of people past or present and they can help with copying if necessary.

Tickets are on sale priced at €10 each and any excess money collected from the ticket sales will be donated to Laois Hospice.
