Laois and Dublin GAA stars united in Portlaoise with the opening of Lilly's #PICTURES

Kieran Lillis and Bernard Brogan in pub partnership

Laois and Dublin GAA stars were united in Portlaoise this week with the opening of a hip new night spot in Portlaoise ahead of the Leinster Final showdown in Croke Park.

Lilly's bar and restaurant opened in Portlaoise on Friday night spearheaded by Laois and Portlaoise Gaelic footballer Kieran Lillis.

The Laois footballer has joined forces with Dublin GAA star Bernard Brogan and Alan Clancy who are part of the NolaClan group to open the brand new establishment.

The name - Lilly’s Bar is a play on Lillis’ name.

The finishing touches were put on the bar and restaurant ahead of its opening at 5pm on Friday evening, just in time for the Old Fort Quarter festival.

Photographer Tom Cullen captured the opening night on camera for the Leinster Express.
