William Campion - Ballacolla

The death has occurred of William (Billy) Campion, Rathmakelly, Ballacolla, R32E5AO.

Billy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday 2nd August, at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.

Predeceased by his wife Ann, son Shane and sister Bridie. Deeply regretted by his loving children Kieran, Annette and David, cherished grandchildren Anna, Seán, Kieran-John, Liam and Bill, daughters-in-law Mary and Roisin, son-in-law Tony, brother Paddy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Billy will repose at his residence (R32E5AO) on Friday 8th August from 2pm, pausing for prayers at 8pm. Removal on Saturday 9th August, to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla (R32RK8R), for Noon Requiem Mass, followed by burial in Durrow Cemetery (R32CK11).

House private on Saturday morning please.

Christy Bryan - Portarlington

The death has occurred of Christy Bryan, Patrick Street, Portarlington, formerly of Rathfeston, Geashill, Co Offaly. Ex Bord Na Mona. Died peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Josephine, family Karen, Conor, Patrick and Mairin, brother Lar, sisters Kathleen and Josephine, daughters-in-law Lisa and Jacinta, son-in-law Martin, Mairin partner David, his 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law,sisters-in-law nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence (eircode R32 WF96) on Friday evening from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 11:40am arriving St Michael's Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael's Cemetery, Portarlington.

Denis Donohue- Portlaoise

The death has occurred of Denis Donohue, Booterstown, and formerly of Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin and late of Grattan Street, Portlaoise, peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family – August 3rd, 2025. Son of the late Thomas and Kathleen. Beloved husband and best friend of the recently deceased Rosemarie, adoring father of Clíona, Kenneth, Declan, Elaine and Ronan, cherished grandfather of Lauran, Oliver, Sullivan, Isoline, Killian, Rafferty, Ava, Charlie and Lana, and brother of Joe, Mary, Paul, Eugene, Gerry and the late Finbar, Paschal, Brendan, Dominic, Oliver, Frank, Raymond and Deanna.

He is remembered also by Declan’s wife Marlene, Elaine’s partner Kenn and Ronan’s wife Evelyn, all of whom he loved. He will be very sadly missed by his loving family, relatives and friends. He will be forever missed for his insightful intelligence, his stimulating conversation, his humour and supportive ways, described by friends and family alike as a true gent and a giant of a man.

Reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, 6 Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road, Dublin 4, D04 X446, on Friday evening, August 8th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, August 9th at 11 a.m., at the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue, A94 TR68, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, D6W HY98.

For those unable to attend, the Mass and the cremation prayers at 2:30 p.m. approximately will be streamed via the webstream links below.
