Have you lost this purse containing cash in a Laois town?

Good samaritan hands in purse of money to Laois Garda station

Garda car.

There are honest people in Laois, proven this week after a "good samaritan" handed in a purse of money to a local Garda Station.

Abbeyleix Gardaí are asking anyone if they own a dark coloured zipped leather purse, found on Main Street, Durrow, on August 3.

The person who found it went to all the trouble to bring it to the Garda station in Durrow.

The Gardaí confirm that the purse contains "a small amount of money".

They issued a call to find its rightful owner via Facebook on August 12.
