'Everything happens for a reason' positive vibes for Laois Rose entrant

A hard working teacher is hoping luck will be on her side in the Laois Rose Selection this weekends.

Anna Ward, 27, lives in Mountmellick.

"I am a proud Laois woman through and through. I was born and raised in Laois, as were both of my parents and grandparents.

"I am a post-primary teacher in Mountmellick Community School. This year I am teaching English as a subject and extra English to students who are exempt from learning Irish. 

"I run a homework club twice a week in my school and also run a games club during lunch twice a week. I started a senior rugby team in school also. 

"During my free time I enjoy working out, attending concerts, spending time with my family, and meditating. I am a very spiritual person and I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason," Anna said. 

Anna will join 16 other impressive young Laois women to take to the stage in the Midlands Park Hotel this Easter Sunday night, April 9.

Tickets are €25 and will be available on the evening so get there early. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 7.30pm sharp.
