Charlene Duff
Disney fan and drama teacher Charlene Duff is hoping her dreams come true on the Laois Rose stage.
Sponsored by Mansworth Productions, Charlene, 29, from Portlaoise is a proud Portlaoise Panto member - oh yes she is - and a preschool teacher.
"I work in a Montessori in Abbeyleix with amazing staff members. I am very blessed to be working as a Drama teacher also with the Richard Mansworth Stageschool, where I work with a great team, teaching talented children the performing arts.
"I’m a proud member of Portlaoise Pantomime society and past member of Portlaoise Musical society.
"If I’m not on stage, you might find me the pitch pucking the small ball or kicking the big ball (c’mon the town).
"I love traveling, from Japan to Panama, I have also been lucky enough to have worked at my dream job in Disneyland Paris. Adventure is out there, never let anyone dull your sparkle,"
All of the Laois Rose entrants will take to the stage in the Midlands Park Hotel this Easter Sunday night, April 9, in a gala event supported by an audience of their families and communities. The winning Laois Rose will go on to the Rose of Tralee televised final this August.
Tickets are €25 and will be available on the evening so get there early. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 7.30pm sharp.
See this week's Leinster Express newspaper for profiles of all 17 Laois Rose Entrants.
