Whether its pirouettes or tackles, one Portlaoise university student gives it her all, and is set to do the same for the Laois Rose Selection night.
"My name is Jade Laffan and I am thrilled to be in the running to represent Laois in the Rose of Tralee 2023.
"I’m a 19 year-old science student studying at NUIG but when I’m not in the books, you can find me on the rugby field representing Portlaoise RFC and the North midlands area team.
"I am also no stranger to Gaelic Football and the sport of dance, having represented my county underage and danced in various ballet shows, in which are both huge interests of mine.
"I enjoy socialising and spend most of my weekends pouring pints in Coppers bar.
"I’m excited for the experience ahead and hopefully make my family and friends proud!," Jade says.
All of the 17 Laois Rose entrants will take to the stage in the Midlands Park Hotel this Easter Sunday night, April 9, in a gala event supported by an audience of their families and communities.
The winning Laois Rose will go on to the Rose of Tralee televised final this August.
Tickets are €25 and will be available on the evening so get there early. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 7.30pm sharp.
See this week's Leinster Express newspaper for profiles of all 17 Laois Rose Entrants.
