Convoy of luxury cars coming to Portlaoise for Bumblebee1000

A multi-million euro convoy of luxury cars including Lamborghinis and Ferraris will visit Portlaoise as part of Bumblebee1000.

The Bumblebee1000 and the Little Blue Heroes charity has announced its third annual fundraising road trip, is taking place across Ireland from June 14-16.

This year’s “Fast and Furious” event promises to be a supercar spectacular, featuring performance and luxury cars including Italy’s finest Lamborghinis and Ferraris, McLarens, Nissan GTRs, Bentleys, BMWs and Porsches, plus one or two surprise guest cars.

Supported by the dedicated efforts of An Garda Síochána, the drive will cover multiple towns in three provinces, allowing the charity to meet and celebrate the Little Blue Heroes ‘Honorary Gardaí’ children at each designated stop.

These remarkable kids are the heart and soul of our organisation, and they will have the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable day with the convoy hosted by the drivers and crew of Bumblebee 1000.

The organisers said: "This event wouldn't be possible without the incredible generosity of the public, our sponsors, our volunteers, and of course, An Garda Síochána.  We are immensely grateful for all this support, which enables The Little Blue Heroes to continue their mission of bringing joy and support to children who are facing serious illness.

"We invite everyone to come out and show their support as we travel through Ireland, spreading smiles and raising vital funds for this amazing charity."

The convoy will visit Laois on Sunday, June 16 when participants will make a fuel stop at Portlaoise Plaza at 11.30am and a lunch stop at Killeshin Hotel at 12.30pm.
