There has been speculation in Laois following a potentially leaked act for a music and arts festival this summer.
Emo's Forest Fest Music and Arts festival will take place from July 24 to 26 next year, promising a weekend of great music.
So far, Forest Fest organisers have announced two waves of their lineup, featuring an exceptional mix of iconic and era-defining artists.
Artists announced include post-punk pioneers Echo and the Bunnymen, beloved Scottish pop-rock outfit Deacon Blue, and indie stalwarts The Charlatans.
However, there has been speculation following the potential leak of an act yet to be officially announced.
The official Facebook page for Sir Bob Geldof, ran by fans and authorised by his management team, has alleged that The Boomtown Rats are set to take to the stage in Laois this July.

The Boomtown Rats have not been officially announced by Forest Fest organisers, leaving fans wondering if the band will make a surprise feature on the festival's next lineup announcement.
Organisers will continue to announce acts for the festival as it approaches, while excitement and anticipation builds amongst Laois locals.
The Leinster Express / Laois Live contacted Forest Fest organisers, who have declined to confirm or deny whether The Boomtown Rats will perform at this year's festival.
The December lineup announcement saw the addition of infamous Irish rock band The Coronas, 1980's 'Getting Away With It' Manchester band James, pop-ska legends Madness, and more exciting names to the festival.
Forest Fest will also be graced by acts from beloved alt-rockers The Lemonheads, anthemic rock outfit Feeder, high-energy trailblazers The Wonderstuff, genre-bending groovers Black Grape, era-defining indie band The Fratellis, cult alt-rock heroes Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and the acclaimed singer-songwriter Lloyd Cole.
