Members of Mountmellick Macra are busy preparing for their upcoming pantomime, Aladdin, which will be staged at Mountmellick Macra Hall this February midterm.
For the 26th year running the group is bringing the panto to the town and this year it will feature young Mountmellick Macra members alongside a talented cast of 70 children from local schools, promising plenty of singing, dancing, and stage effects for audiences of all ages.
Produced and directed by Brian Brady, with choreography by Louise Ahern, this adaptation of the beloved fairytale includes a few twists and turns to keep audiences entertained.

The show will also introduce many new characters and faces, alongside the return of the much-loved Smash and Grab.
Performances run Thursday to Saturday, February 19 to 21 at 7.30pm sharp, with a Sunday matinee at 3pm and an evening show at 7pm on Sunday, February 22.
Tickets are €15 for adults and €10 for children, available from O’Gorman’s Newsagents (cash only). Family rates will be available on the door, with a card facility for those wishing to pay by card on the night.
The pantomime is proudly sponsored by Mountmellick Credit Union, and Mountmellick Macra looks forward to welcoming the local community to another fun-filled, family-friendly production.
