Laois ladies invited to glamourous red carpet gala in aid of local causes

The Stradbally Lourdes Pilgrimage Committee have announced a fantastic fundraising initiative in aid of two causes.

An exciting Ladies Lunch Gala will take place place on May 9, with a glamourous red carpet entrance and a lovely drinks reception.

The drinks reception will be followed by a three course lunch, with plenty of entertainment to enjoy at the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise.

Speaking with the Leinster Express / Laois Live, group secretary Esther Luttrell promised an amazing day.

"The idea of the event is to celebrate woman and their uniqueness. To uplift and bring a high vibrational goodwill feeling that we are in need of. To come celebrate an enjoyable day," Ms Luttrell said.

"We haven't had something like this before, something high vibrational, celebrational, glamourous and local. Fashion and MUA influencers will mingle with attendees and will be available for photo opportunities," she said.

The main speaker at the event is Jennifer Corcoran, Dr. Usui Reiki master, wellness coach, spiritual teacher, law of attraction expert, wellness retreat leader and Feng Shui Consultant. 

"Jen is flying in from Italy especially to speak at this event, she is truly a remarkable person," Ms Luttrell explained.

The event will also feature performances from the Timahoe Male Choir, PJ the DJ and the Lynam School of Dancing, with champion Bobby Kinsella.

"Our local Councillor Vivienne Phelan will also say a few words, and is very supportive of the event."

A raffle of stunning luxury items will take place on the day, including Foxford rugs sponsored by Finline Furniture; a voucher for Kildare Village; a voucher for the Midland Park Hotel, among many other prizes. Raffle tickets will be available on the day for €10. 

"Join us for a fabulous afternoon of glamour, great food, entertainment and fun," Ms Luttrell finished.

This gala is a daytime event, expected to run from 12 noon to around 4:30pm. The funds raised will be split between the Cuisle Centre and the pilgrimage to Lourdes, with some tickets to the event expected to be donated to women who are battling cancer.
