The festival line-up in Laois next year is just getting better by the day.
Earlier this week Electric Picnic announced its first wave of 10 acts including Billy Eilish, Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi, with a second tranch of tickets on sale this Friday morning.
Down the road from Stradbally is the boutique music and arts festival Forest Fest in Emo.
In its second year, the Laois organisers have already announced acts including Suede, Ash, The Riptide Movement, Heritage Green, Gabrielle, The Proclaimers, The Undertones, Nik Kershaw and Sharon Shannon. Carrie Baxter, N.O.A.H, Something Happens, Jack Lukeman, Bronagh Gallagher.
Now another favourite Irish band has announced they will be in Forest Fest too.
Bell X1 is including the new boutique music festival in their 2023 tour.
"The idea of playing big, raucous shows in fields and tents next summer is a damn fine one. We’re finishing up a record with John Spud Murphy at the moment, and are having those exciting conversations about how to present it live - the line-up of the band, the instruments to lean in to, the drapes, and what snacks to serve...," the Kildare band announced online.
The band's hits include anthems like The Great Defector (Blue lights on the Runway), Eve is the Apple of my Eye, and Rocky took a Lover.
Forest Fest takes place from July 21 to 23 in Emo village, with a choice of daily and weekend ticket and camping options now on sale. See www.Forestfest.ie
