Whats on in Leitrim this weekend
The June Bank Holiday weekend is upon us and there is plenty to see and do over the next few days in Laois.
The Ballyroan Country Music festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3rd in Ballyroan. Headline acts include Johnny Brady, Derek Ryan, Kelly McGrath and Marty Mone. It is set to be a brilliant weekend and there are still some tickets available. Read more here.
There is a teenage disco in the marquee at Ballyroan GAA pitch on Friday night, June 1 from 8.30pm - 11.30pm. It is a strictly teenage event from 13 to 16 year olds with great music and no bar.
Mountmellick is hosting the Laois Fleadh this year from Friday, June 1 to Monday, June 4 the town will be hopping with craic and music from all over the county. Hundreds of people are set to flock to the town for the weekend with ceilis and free music events across the weekend. Read more here.
The Gordon Bennett Irish Classic Run will kick off proceedings this June Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday, June 1 to Monday, June 4. There will be a number of different car runs covering different counties across the midlands and a gala dinner to finish the weekend. Read more here.

The June Bank Holday Road Hurling Festival will take place in Borris Kilcotton starting at Killasmestia Church from 3pm on Sunday, June 3. Categories will be - Senior Men, Ladies, Boys U16, Girls U16 & Masters. All followed by Music & BBQ & trophy presentation in the Green Roads at 6pm. More here.

The artisan cottage market in Mountrath will celebrate one year this weekend. The market will be on from 10:00am to 2pm in the Macra Hall on Main Street on Saturday, June 2.
Stradbally Steam Train will run on Saturday and Sunday in Stradbally Woods from 12pm to 4pm.
The Ridge of Capard Lost Village Loop walk will be held on Monday at 2pm. The guided walk is 6km and will take around 2 hours.
