Laois beauty business to open new Portlaoise clinic creating jobs
A young and expanding Laois beauty business is opening a new clinic in Portlaoise.
The Style Bar, led by Portlaoise businessman David Finn, already has salons in Portlaoise, Clonmel in Tipperary and Newbridge in Kildare for hair, make-up and nail beauty care.
David has revealed that despite the difficult time for being in business, he is taking the step to open another service in his home town.

He is opening a specialised laser and skin clinic, in a large unit next to the Style Bar in Lyster Square.
It will create five more jobs, with 21 already employed at the Style Bar.
"This will be beside the Style Bar in the heart of Portlaoise. It is a 2,000 sq ft unit.
"It is increasingly tough to do business, with the cost of electricity and heating. It is a lot more difficult.
"But you have to step forward, if you are standing still in business, you become stagnant," he said.
He sees a big demand in the market for clinical care of skin.
"A lot more people, both male and female, have become more aware of the damage that can be done to their skin and they are taking measures to address this," he said.
The Style Bar has also stepped up to become the main sponsor of the Laois Rose this year. Read more above.
