Laois pet shop plans expansion

Fetch Your Pet Needs is based at O'Moore Street Business Centre .

A Laois based pet store is planning a big expansion of its premises in Mountmellick with a planning application lodged with Laois County Council.

Rhino Management Ltd. has submitted the application for a new warehouse in O'Moore Street Business Centre to facilitate the expansion of  ‘Fetch Your Pet Needs’ The application seeks permission for the new warehouse adjoining an existing warehouse, the extension of an existing hardcore yard, amendments to site boundaries, and all associated site works.

The new warehouse unit will be 2755sqft in size and will be used for the storage of dry goods associated with the business.

"To facilitate access to the new unit the Applicant proposes to extend an existing hardcore yard and to amend the existing site boundaries. The Applicant is in the process of purchasing land from an adjoining land owner which will be purchased subject to planning permission being granted," the application states.

 "Written consent to apply for planning permission on these lands has been given by the applicable land owners and is attached to this application.

"The proposed works are necessary to facilitate the expansion of an existing business
namely ‘Fetch Your Pet Needs’ at O’Moore Street Business Centre Mountmellick.  At present a number of businesses operate from this business centre and 10 people are employed. It is not envisaged that the construction of this warehouse will result in any additional employees."

Submissions are being accepted by January 7, 2026 with a decision due to be made by January 28, 2026.
