Following a double win at the Irish Hotel Federation’s Quality Employer Awards, the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise has secured more prestigious accolades at national events held recently.

The Portlaoise business took home the Bronze Award for Ireland’s Business & Conference Hotel at the 36th Annual Gold Medal Awards, at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway at the end of January.

In a statement to the Leinster Express / Laois Live, the Midlands Park team say the Gold Medal Awards celebrate excellence across Ireland’s hospitality sector. They add that the recognition highlights Midlands Park Hotel as one of the country’s premier destinations for corporate and conference business.

Adding to the celebrations, the four-star hotel also won a Silver Award from the Irish Accommodation Services Institute (IASI) at The Galway Bay Hotel also held at the end of January. MORE BELOW PHOTO.

Midland Park managment say the award recognises excellence in cleaning and hygiene standards and reflects the "dedication and professionalism" of the hotel’s accommodation and housekeeping teams, whose essential work so often takes place behind the scenes.

Joyce Bray, Interim General Manager at Midlands Park Hotel, is delighted with the hotel’s latest achievements.
