Big celebrations in Portlaoise hotel for national award winner

Staff are celebrating a national award winner on International Women’s Day at The Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise. 

Stacey Bland has won the Irish Hotel Federation Overall National Employee of the Year 2018. 

Stacey joined the front office team Midlands Park Hotel in 2015.

"From her very first day Stacey stood out in every way, from her friendly smile to her interaction with customers. She truly believes in the values of our business by going the extra mile to ensure our guests have a memorable experience," said the hotel in a facebook post. 

"In 2017 Stacey was promoted to Front Office Supervisor and took on every challenge with pride and enthusiasm. 

"As a company that supports its staff and encourages growth with the business a new role opened up in our expanding conference department and it was without hesitation that Stacey was nominated and hired for the role. 

"The Midlands Park Hotel are delighted and so proud for one of our employees out of 260000 employees over the hotel sector of Ireland to have won such a prestigious award," said the post.
