Annual Tractor Run to return to Mountrath over Christmas with more exciting events announced
Clonenagh National School in Mountrath has announced that the annual Tractor Run will return on Saturday, 28 December.
The popular Tractor Run will have something for everyone, with the Family Fun Run/Walk and the Monster Auction also taking place on the day.
The festivities will take place in Coolrain Village and there'll be free refreshments all day long as well as music to keep everyone entertained.
The 6km Family Fun Run/Walk will kick-off the day and all ages are welcome to join in on the fun. Registration to take part will be at 11am in Hogan's Pub, with the run starting at 11.30am. To enter the run it is €10 for adults, €5 for secondary school students, and free for primary school children.
The Tractor Run will set off at 2.30pm through the village and will feature a great range of tractors and vintage cars. Registration for this will be at 1.30pm. Fans of the event will be delighted to know that the famous Tractor Run stew will be served to drivers after the big run in Hogan's pub.
To top off the day, the Monster Auction will take place in Hogan's pub at 8.30pm with a wide range of impressive lots being auctioned. Auctioneer Joe Shirley will host the exciting event which is sure to be a great night!
Locals are encouraged to come along and get involved in the annual fundraiser which promises a day of fun for all the family.
