Crash involving boat temporarily closed the M7 Motorway in Laois this morning

The M7 Motorway northbound was temporarily closed this morning following a crash in Portlaoise.
Gardai said a vehicle towing a boat crashed blocking the northbound carriageways. The incident occurred on the M7 between Junction 15 Ballybrittas and Junction 16 Portlaoise before 7am.
Gardai put a diversion in place as a recovery vehicle was brought in to clear the road. The motorway reopened within the hour.
