Arrested for being drunk in Portlaoise

Man remanded on €35,000 Midlands drugs charge

A man was fined for being highly intoxicated in Portlaoise. 

Derek Wolfe, 45, of Ravenswood House, Old North Road, Finglas, Dublin appeared before Portlaoise District Court via video link. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the defendant had 152 previous convictions. He said the man was arrested for being very drunk on the Dublin Road opposite the Killeshin Hotel in Portlaoise at 8pm on November 17 last. 

Judge Andrew Cody fined the man €100 and gave him 12 months to pay.
