Gardai detected a car travelling at 71kph above the legal motorway limit in Laois.
The car was clocked doing a whopping 191kph on the M8 motorway in a 120kph zone.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit conducting a speed check on the M8 yesterday evening stopped this vehicle after it was detected travelling at 191kph,” Gardai said.
“The driver was arrested and charged to appear before the District Court,” they added.
