A motorist stopped in Laois for not wearing a seatbelt was then arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol in the Rosenallis area yesterday stopped a vehicle after observing the driver not wearing a safety belt,” Gardai said.

“The vehicle was stopped and the driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drunk driving,” they added.
