A suspected drug driver was stopped in a van in Laois with no tax or a road worthiness certificate for over two years.
Laois Gardai pulled over the van in Mountrath and discovered its tax had expired in May of 2021. The CVRT, or road worthiness certificate, was expired by three years.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit recently seized this vehicle in Mountrath. The tax was expired over two years and CVRT expired over three years," Gardai said.
"The driver was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving after testing positive on a roadside oral fluid swab for cocaine," Gardai added.
