Garda issue appeal over Laois burglary

Concerns about burglaries where people were at home raised at Tipperary JPC

Gardai are appealing for information following a burglary in Laois. 

The burglary took place at a house in Rathdowney during the Bank Holiday weekend.

Gardai say the incident in the Donaghmore area of Rathdowney between Friday, August 4 and Tuesday, August 8. 

They are appealing to anyone who may have noticed suspicious people or vehicles in the area to come forward. 

The burglary is being investigated by Portlaoise Detective Branch assisted by their colleagues at Rathdowney Garda Station.  

“We are appealing for any sightings of suspicious persons or vehicles in the area during this time,” Gardai said. 

Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or has any information is asked to contact Gardai at 057 86 74130.
