Accused of having bullets and pepper spray in Laois

Kildare cocaine dealer jailed at Portlaoise court

A man appeared in court accused of possessing ammunition and pepper spray in Portarlington. 

Mark Dunne, 44, with an address at 19 Ballymorris Green, Portarlington is accused of possessing two 12 gauge shotgun cartridges, a .22 long rifle bullet and O/C Spray at Patrick Street, Portarlington on December 19, 2022. 

Solicitor Philip Meagher requested disclosure and legal aid as he said his client was not working at present. 

Judge Andrew Cody granted legal aid and adjourned the matter back to Portlaoise District Court on January 22.
