A man admitted stealing gin and vodka from Lidl in Portarlington.
Kamil Kruk, 31, of 9 Ballymorris Manor, Portarlington pleaded guilty to the theft of Gordon’s Gin and Smirnoff valued at €140 from Lidl, Canal Road, Portarlington on June 21, 2022.
Suzanne Dooner BL said her client was pleading guilty and asking for some time to pay back the €140. She said he had been homeless at the time of the offending but now had a place to live and was actively seeking employment.
“I will give you a date in April and I want it paid,” said Judge Nicola Andrews.
She told the sitting of Portlaoise District Court that she would strike out the charges if the money was repaid. The case was adjourned to April 8.
