Laois Shopping Centre.
Gardaí are hosting a pop up stand in Laois Shopping Centre in Portlaoise this afternoon.
Officers will be on hand to provide information and advice on security and crime prevention.
They will also be looking to speak with anyone who might be interested in taking up a career as a garda.
The recruitment drives follows a recent government decision to increase the age limit to apply to become a Garda trainee from 35 years to 50.
In order to provide a steady pipeline of Garda trainees over the coming years, Garda recruitment campaigns will now also run annually.
Laois Gardaí will be at the stand at Laois Shopping Centre until 4pm today.
