Gardaí stopped a vehicle on the M7 being driven without insurance when the discovery was made
The driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized.

Laois Roads Policing Unit made an arrest after the discovery of a large amount of stolen goods in a vehicle.
Gardaí stopped a vehicle on the M7 being driven without insurance when the discovery was made.
“The driver assaulted Garda members then fled from the scene on foot and following a search was later located hiding inside a property nearby,” said a Garda spokesperson.
“The driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized. A large quantity of stolen property was recovered inside the vehicle.”
The driver was later charged with a number of offences and brought before Tullamore District Court.
