pair appeared at Portlaoise District Court
Two people appeared in court accused of stealing bottles of Mickey Finns and children’s shoes.
David Byrne (35) and Chloe McCreanor (27) of Apartment 3, St Francis House, Gort na nÓir, Abbeyleix are each accused of stealing five bottles of Mickey Finns and children’s shoes from Dunnes Stores, Mountmellick Road, Portlaoise on March 26, 2023.
“Five bottles of Mickey Finns? What’s Mickey Finns?” asked Judge Andrew Cody.
“I never consumed it, judge, I believe it is some kind of alcohol,” replied Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby.
Solicitor Josephine Fitzpatrick requested disclosure in the case to include any CCTV footage. Judge Andrew Cody ordered disclosure and adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on June 24.
