Man accused of dangerous driving causing death of Laois student has case adjourned

21-year-old before court in connection with death of Mountrath student Adam Kirwan

The case of the Laois man accused of dangerous driving causing the death of Mountrath student Adam Kirwan has been adjourned to later this year.


Sean Fitzpatrick (21) of Killpurcell, Ballybrophy, county Laois is charged with dangerous driving at College Green, Monakeeba, Thurles on March 2, 2023.


The defendant was before Thurles District Court this week, where the Book of Evidence was expected to be served. 


However, Sgt Tom Hanrahan, of Thurles Garda Station told the court it was not yet ready and made an application, which the court granted, to adjourn the case to September 3, 2024.
