Community Gardai in Laois conducted patrols on trains this week as part of a campaign aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour on public transport.
In a post on social media An Garda Siochana in Laois/Offaly said: "As part of Operation Scáthlán Portlaoise Community Gardaí were on patrol with Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail on the trains and stations between Portlaoise and Heuston Station.
"Operation Scáthlán is a high visibility crime prevention Operation at rail and bus stations."
