Laois Offaly Gardai say they stopped a car for not having a red light only to find it was driven by an unlicensed or insured 16 year old.

Gardaí from Tullamore stopped this vehicle when attention was drawn to it for having no rear light, when checked on the Garda mobility device it was discovered to have been out of road tax for 141 days.

On speaking to the driver it transpired that they were only 16 years old with no driving licence or insurance,” gardaí said.

“The vehicle has been seized under Section 41 with proceedings commenced,” gardaí stated.
