Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to a report of cars being searched in Stradbally.
The Leinster Express understands two cars were searched in the Brockley Park in the town with items stolen from one of the vehicles.
Portlaoise Gardaí confirmed they are investigating a single report of a person interfering with a car in Brockley Park on Sunday night.
Gardaí said they received a report about a male being seen at a car but they are unsure whether anything was taken in the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100.
