Celebrity chef to host Laois golf club’s fundraiser
Well-known Irish chef and television personality Edward Hayden will visit Abbeyleix for the event
A Laois Golf Club has announced that celebrity chef Edward Hayden will host its main annual fundraiser.
The special cookery demonstration is taking place with the well-known Irish chef and television personality on Tuesday, November 24.
This much-anticipated evening is an important fundraising occasion for Abbeyleix Golf Club, with a portion of the proceeds also being donated to DEBRA Ireland, the charity supporting people and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare genetic skin condition.
The charitable element has a particularly special local connection through Emma Fogarty, who hails from Abbeyleix. Emma's parents are longstanding and dedicated members of Abbeyleix Golf Club, and the club is proud to support this cause and show its support for Emma and her family.
Edward Hayden, renowned for his passion for food, engaging personality and culinary expertise, will entertain guests with a live cookery demonstration, sharing practical tips, inspiration and ideas that can be recreated at home.
The evening promises to combine great food, entertainment and community spirit, while supporting both the club and a very worthwhile local cause.
