'Lock your doors' - Laois social media star recounts terrifying incident

Laois social media star Doireann O'Connor has urged the public to 'lock your doors' when in a car after a frighting incident in Dublin.

The Ballyroan native was left shaken after a man opened her car door and refused to leave while she was parked in the capital.

"I was on my phone editing a video, daddy rang me and I was on the phone to daddy and I heard a tap on the car and a man opened the passenger door and it's after given me such a fright," she shared with her followers.

Doireann said at the time she had her 'whole life' in the car including her laptop. She said the man was drunk and she couldn't understand what he was saying.

"He wasn't making any sense and for some reason I said my father's a Guard can you close the door and he wouldn't close the door. I am a bit shook after it.

"I eventually just said you are frightening me can you leave and can you close the door and he started to walk away but he wouldn't close the door so I jumped over the passenger seat and lay on the horn by accident and closed the door."

After the ordeal she had a clear message for her followers: "If you are sitting in the car lock your doors because that could have been a lot worse."
