Attempted criminal damage in Portlaoise housing estate

Garda Síochána members.

Portlaoise Gardaí have begun an investigation into the attempted criminal damage of a car parked in a Portlaoise housing estate overnight.

It took place in the Ard Branagh estate, on the Dublin road in Portlaoise on Sunday night / Monday morning last.

A Garda spokesperson has confirmed to the Leinster Express / Laois Live that two males were observed causing damage to a vehicle, at 2am early on Monday morning, May 19.

The door of the vehicle was damaged by them. However the pair were not successful in their attempt to get inside.
