Gardaí issue appeals over two separate burglaries in Laois.
Laois Gardaí have confirmed that two houses in rural areas have been burgled in the past week in the county, with one of them disturbing the homeowner who was at home at the time.
A burglary took place in Ballylinan / Wolfhill, on Thursday evening, July 31 at 9pm at night.
The homeowner disturbed what is described as two youths, in the back garden of the property.
They later found that a handbag had been taken from their kitchen.
Then on Friday, August 1, a second burglary took place in a house where thankfully nobody was at home, in Attanagh, Durrow.
It took place between 6pm and 8pm.
In this incident, the kitchen door had been forced open.
Nothing appeared to have been taken.
The Laois Offaly Garda Division gave the reports to the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
They are appealing to anybody who saw anything suspicious in either of these two areas, at the times of the incidents, to get in contact with them. Contact Portlaoise Garda station here.
