Warrant issued for man accused of masturbating at Laois leisure centre

A court was told that a man who is accused of masturbating at Laois Leisure Centre has left the country. 

Jaroslav Balog (28) of Millbrook Estate, Portlaoise, is accused of engaging in an act of masturbation at Portlaoise Leisure Centre on August 19, 2023.

The defendant failed to appear before a sitting of Portlaoise District Court

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the book of service was completed and ready to be served on the accused. 

Anne Doyle BL said she had learned that the man had gone to Slovakia and would not be returning. 

Sgt Kirby then requested a bench warrant. Judge Susan Fay then issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
