Gardaí in Laois have asked the public to keep a lookout for a silver Toyota Land Cruiser that was stolen from a farmyard in Ballyfin last week.
The 05-WW jeep was stolen from a yard in Ballyfin on Sunday morning, February 17.
Ballyfin Community Alert has reported that the jeep was stolen around 10:30 am when the owner was busy milking cows.
It also said that a child car seat was in the back of the jeep as well as a Bott Invehicle tool chest containing a large amount of mechanics hand tools and a Rescue Starter Pack.
Separately, Ballyfin Community Alert has reported that there was an attempted break-in on Thursday morning at a house in Irey, Ballyfin.
“The security alarm went off and woke the family at 5.30 this morning nothing was taken,” the group has said.
Locals have been asked to report any suspicious activity to gardai.
