Two drivers have been stopped in recent days who never held drivers licences, according to Gardaí.
The driver of a car stopped the busy three lane N7 used by many Laois motorists every day had no drivers licence with garda records showing one was never held.
Gardaí issued a statement saying the driver was "found to have never held a driving licence and therefore was driving uninsured".
The vehicle was seized and towed from the scene, according the Dublin Metropolitan Region South Roads Policing Unit.
Meanwhile, in Tipperary, Cahir Gardaí also stopped a car yesterday in Cashel and discovered the driver never held a driving licence or insurance and the vehicle had no tax or NCT.
Gardaí say the vehicle was seized and court proceedings will follow for the driver.
