The death has occurred of Betty O'Brien (née Phelan) of Barkersford, Athy, Kildare and formerly of Dunbrin, Barrowhouse, Co. Laois.
Predeceased by her parents, husband Phil and brother Michael. Betty died on Thursday, March 5, 2026 in the care of Farnogue Nursing Home, Wexford, surrounded by her loving family.
Much loved mother to Anne, John, Helen and Niall. Deeply regretted by her family, sons-in-law John and Tom and daughters-in-law Dolores and Mary. Sadly missed by her loving grandchildren Aisling, Luke, Jack, Lucy and Jane , nieces and nephews Tom, Kevin, Seamus and Maggie, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at her home, Barkersford, Athy (R14 VX51) on Friday afternoon (March 6th) from 2pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning (March 7th) to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie. Burial afterwards in St. Michael's Old Cemetery, Athy.

Late Joe Dunne - Ballyfin
The death has occurred of Joe Dunne, Rossmore, Ballyfin, suddenly on March 2.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and Anne and mother-in-law Breda Quigley.
Sadly missed and dearly loved by his heartbroken wife Helen, children Chloe, Joe and Conor, brother Eamon (Sammy), sisters Anne (O’Rourke), Chris (Byrne), and Theresa (Ramsbottom), father-in-law Joe Quigley, sisters-in-law Nuala, Ann Marie, and Sarah, brothers-in-law Alan, John, Paul, Brendan and Joe, his adored nieces and nephews, aunt Sheila, cousins and his wide circle of friends and nursing colleagues.
Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath eircode R32Y661 on Friday evening March 6 from 5 pm, concluding with Rosary at 8 pm.
Removal from his home on Sunday afternoon March 8 to St Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin eircode R32TD61, for Requiem Mass at 2 pm followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Ballyfin.

The death has occurred of Ann Doyle, Thornberry, Abbeyleix and Bolton, United Kingdom, peacefully on March 2 in the loving care of the staff at Shannon Court Nursing Home, United Kingdom.
Deeply regretted by her husband Jarlath, her children Gareth, Anita,Chris, Barbara, Gillian, Aidan and Heather, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, extended family neighbours and friends.
Funeral will take place in Bolton United Kingdom.
Month's Mind Mass in The Church of the Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix on Saturday the 28th of March at 5pm.
